Smithsonian Education Online Conference: Climate Change

The Smithsonian is addressing the global challenge of climate change with special exhibitions and ongoing research. Participate in these investigations and deepen your understanding through the FREE Smithsonian Online Education Conference: Climate Change from September 29 through October 1, 2009. The second in a series of online education conferences, this free program includes both general interest sessions and sessions intended especially for teachers. An excellent professional development resource, the homepage for the online conference provides instructions on how to register for the free conference, the conference schedule and speakers, as well as general information about virtual conferences. Also included are links to learning activities, the conference blog, and a brief essay entitled Why the Ginkgo? that explains the importance of the Ginkgo tree to science, art history and research at the Smithsonian.
